Hi there,

I downloaded this version of HivelyTracker: http://www.exotica.org.uk/~buzz/ht/hivelytracker_v1.2_68k_updated.lha

When I try to launch it, I get "Cannot initialise audio" error.
What can I do to avoid it and launch the program properly?

I have A1200 ROM 3.0, Blizzard 040/40, 32 MB RAM, AGA, OS 3.1 and AHI v4.

That is not the latest version, please download it from the download section of this site.

Do you have the paula AHI driver installed?

Go into AHI prefs, select "unit 0" and try and play a test sound. If no sound is playing, you need to configure it so that unit 0 works.

Hi,

I've downloaded the latest version, but the error still occures.
I have Paula driver, but can't find the "unit 0" you're writing about.. I don't have anything like this in Prefs/AHI options :(

Maybe the AHI configuration/info i posted here might help. It might be possible that you dont have the driver binaries installed properly or perhaps only the datafiles(?). You should have a AHI commodity thingy inside your system Prefs folder otherwise (I think you mentioned that you did).

Check the 3rd or 4th post down. I only got it working myself the other day, although this relates to WinUAE, the same AHI is required on a classic A1200 still.

It's also possible that you're AHI install is ok and is just missing some of the datatypes/audiodriver things that are supposed to be copied over into your system devs and datatypes draws.

Okay, thanks! It's working (it's too much for my machine though...) :)

I just got this working on my bppc/bvision setup. It would freeze when I tried to play a song, so I checked the forums and saw this, as I suspected my unit 0 was not configured on my AHI prefs. maybe you should make it more obvious to set AHI options correctly in somekind of readme file.

other than that, everything works perfect on my setup, really great to use a tracker on a rtg screen. thanks for the great work !

No problem :)

Let us know on this forum if you make any hively tunes. We'd all love to hear them :)
