Not perfectly. The way the XMPlay plugin does it is to decode the song from start to end, as fast as possible.
The replayer has a "songenddetected" flag which would work for most mods, although it may be possible to fool it. It also would also not work properly for songs that end with an "F00" command and leave sounds playing.
The XMPlay plugin has a fancy silence detector. Maybe Pieknyman would share that with you if you asked.
