Argh! I thought I'd thought of everying I could wish for in Hively, by way of future features, but I have another! Behold:
Instrument Panning comand
What it says on the box, really - a command for the Instrument ed. to control stereo position (a la 7XX in the main editor). Of course there might be very good mixing reasons why this won't work, but hopefully Xeron can spread some beans on that issue.
For some composers, or rather for some styles of tune, being able to specify a stereo point per instrument would be an easier method of getting your pan mix right, but I would suggest that the stereo pan command in the main editor would always override the Instrument pan, in the style of FT2 etc.
Thoughts? Rotten tomatoes? http://syphus.untergrund.net |

You want to kill chip-music ? In AHX you don't heave a panning and tunes sounds really great. But that's my opinion... Cube Printing |

This isn't AHX. If 16 channels through AHI hasn't killed chip-music, nor will this. Anyway, the command's already there to be used - I'm just suggesting it be made accessible from elsewhere.
My AHX tunes have 100% 4ch pan as an inextricably fundamental element to their being. If I stuck to that for Hively, I'd be wasting years of Xeron's time, on principle.
So it's a valid opinion, but it should be expressed against HivelyTracker itself, rather than just my request for an adjustment to what already exists:) http://syphus.untergrund.net |

Not mad, just explaining that I love the AHX format, I love my hardware, I love my 4chan Paula and I love my 100% patterns, but that Hively lets me do something different and I can love one without killing the other:) A bit like with wives. http://syphus.untergrund.net |
